Hello, friends.

My name is Larry.

I’m 2+ years old, large, black, slightly scruffy, and the official face of BigBlackDogCo.

A few years ago, my mom and dad came to meet me at Animal Welfare Society of Stellenbosch . Well, it was love at first sight, so a few days later I went to my forever home & these days, life is pretty great.

I spend my days exploring mountain trails, sniffing my way through forests, chasing waves on the beach, supervising braai’s, testing toys, chewing bones, and making sure my humans never go anywhere without me.

You see, I’m not the kind of dog who likes being left behind. If there’s an adventure happening, I want in. Weekend away? I’m coming. Road trip? Shotgun. Dog-friendly cottage? Already packed.

The problem was that every trip seemed to start the same way. My humans would be halfway out the door before someone asked:

• “Did we pack Larry’s bowl?”
• “What about his lead?”
• “Where’s his towel?”
• “Did anyone bring treats?”

There are bags for clothes. Bags for camping gear. Bags for groceries. But nothing designed to keep all a dog’s essentials together in one place.

So BigBlackDogCo was born.
